Bio: I am a writer, a partner, a woman, a human being, a domestic abuse survivor, and a million other labels. I work with children in an institutional setting who have developmental delays and who have been the victims of trauma. Currently, I lead workshops through the Rojong Yoin Writing Community in Louisville and am working towards an MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Spalding University. My work has been published or is forthcoming in Creative Nonfiction, Lunch Ticket, so to speak: a feminist journal of language and art, Sweet: A Literary Confection, New Southerner the Stonecoast Review, the IUSoutheast Review, Metroversity Writing Competiton's Anthology of Winners, and the Barbaric Yawp. I am currently at work on a few projects, most notably a collection of essays about the ambivalence of growing up in Kentucky, and a memoir discussing the intersections of personal trauma and helping to heal the trauma of others.
